Published, self-published, or unpublished, we are creatures the Lord made as different as the snowflakes in winter. Why would He need to be redundant? Our free will leads us down new avenues as unique as the hairs on our heads. Is the drive to write down all the scenarios in life that we can imagine or have lived anything but Divine inspiration for us to share His love and gleaned wisdom with our fellows? Acknowledging His power, commands us to honor the second edict: to love each other.
Our brains, our eyes, our ears, our sense of smell, our teeth and smile disposition are not repeated even in twins. We differentiate our opinions on purpose. Otherwise one of us is unnecessary.
If slowed down by discouraging times or results, we writers need to remember the world needs our views for us to live as richly and as fully as the Lord envisioned. Bad things do happen to good people we know, our family, our friends, and our nation. The pain we endure is lessened when we share its detrimental results to our souls.
Suffering cannot be denied, but The Lord’s answer to Job’s protests stops any prolonged complaint. Where were we when He created the foundations of the world? Hence our motivation to chronicle each thought or action of fictional characters is worthy of our prolonged efforts. Ease others into the complications presented to us. Write on!
Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!
Posting: The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer – aim for a dozen new people each time.
Let’s rock the neurotic writing world!
Twitter hashtag is #IWSG
Hi Rhon! I’m hopping around to IWSG posts as a co-host, and I really enjoyed your post! It’s funny. because I was just thinking of Job and what he endured while visiting another IWSG member whose has been enduring years of adversity. Your last paragraph above the IWSG badge reminds me of JRR Tolkien’s essay “On Fairy-Tales.” Have you read it? It’s published in his book “Tree in Leaf.” Based on your post today, I think you would find the essay and the accompanying fairy tale in the book worth reading! Have a good one!
Thank you for commenting. I will check out tree in Leaf.
